Strange Mood

Very often I get in really weird moods, its always been an amazing phenomenon to me. I say phenomenon because I don't know if many others get in weird moods and have crazy random ideas because of these moods.
For instance while in a weird mood I almost purchased this van

(luckily it was a bit more expensive than I could afford at that moment). My ingenious plan was to pack that van with as much stuff as I could jump into it and drive east, where to? I have no idea I just wanted to drive it along way and meet crazy people and sleep in it and eat in it and spend about a month driving around in it. (writing about it makes me want to go and buy that van again!)
Whenever I get in these random moods I like to talk to people about it and very often I'm not with anyone I'd like to share it with so the mood goes wasted. Enter blogger!
I have now set up my blog so that I can email it (from my phone) when I get these weird ideas and then I've got my ideas out and all of my readers read them.
Excited!? You should be! I can also upload photos via email so for those of you who just like pictures and no text... (I'm not sure why I'm typing this if they don't like text they aren't reading it right?) i'll upload pictures for you!
Wait and that's not all! Afterwards at the bottom of each post there is a section where you can leave your own ideas and thoughts of randomness for me and others to enjoy (useful in times that we all get bored)!
Hooray! I know everyone has now stood up from their computer and rejoiced for the goodness and powerfulness of the internet and mobile devices. I know I just did!

I got engaged last week! We are getting married at the beginning of next year! I'm so happy to be with Denise, she makes my everyday! I love her! So this post is a little late, but I didn't have any pictures to post of it yet. So here are the pictures of the proposal. Lagoon, Boating and Denise

So for those of you that don't know who Denise is, she is a really awesome girl that I am dating. A mutual friend of ours set us up and we're together non stop! She is exactly like me, my sisters have told me that they think she is the girl version of me. So that tells you how off the wall she can get... well I guess I should say how off the wall we can get! (in short she is awesome and amazing and we have a ton of fun together! I'm really happy to be dating her!) Anyways we went to lagoon together for my work lagoon day, and then we did the bounce back, but we only had one week to use the bounce back (lame I know!!) but we decided we really wanted to go, plus we got a free ticket to the sky coaster so we needed to use it! Anyways we went to lagoon and we were only there for a little while when it started to rain!! So we rode rides in the rain, trust me when it is raining hard you do not want to go on Wicked! Although my it did exfoliate my face rather nicely! ;)

Before: (in this picture please notice my double chin, Denise and I have discovered a phenomenon in which when I take a picture of us I tend to think I need to push my head backward which in turn causes a double chin... very strange but often this happens)

On the 4th of July (actually the 3rd but in celebration of the 4th) we went boating up at Pineview! It was really awesome and fun! Except the water was a little choppy as we got there slightly late, anticipating the rains that were reported on that day we wanted to make sure the sun was gonna stay so we went a couple hours later than we normally would have. Good news though, the tower that we finally convinced dad to put on the boat ROCKED!!! Still need to get it broken in, and need to get a new rope, our wakeboard rope was already short, taking 6 more feet off of it with the tower was not a good idea. So we had to jimmy rig the ski rope for it, which doesn't make the best wakeboarding rope, but it worked for that day :)

slightly big air, need to adjust to the tower still and level that board out, but I'm excited for the tower like you would never believe!!!

We found clay on the beach, like amazing clay that was really fun to play with! So I took some and while Denise was molding our clay castle I wrote on her arm... she doesn't look too disappointed! :D

So our clay castle some how became a heart, and what good is a heart without twigs broken to form names? Right?

Memorial Day

On Memorial day (actually the day before) we went to Grandma Moss' grave then we went to this really cool thing in Ogden which is a moving wall that displays the names of the men and women who died in Vietnam.

This is the Oquirrh Mountain temple! It looks awesome I'm excited to go there!

Yard work with Leroy

On Saturday Leroy came over to help me do some work in my parent's yard. We were in charge of putting some sort of weed prevention pellets into the garden and then raking it into the dirt, then after that we put soil pep on top of it, and smoothed it around. I also added some pictures of my parent's yard cause its looking awesome.

The other night Brady and I went bowling with some of Brady's friends. It was awesome we bowled three games, and totally rocked it :) ok we really didn't do that well we bowled in the low 100s all three games. Here are a few pictures.

Joseph Smith, Red Robin and Leroy Rawls

So if you don't know who Leroy is let me give you some background. I used to live in an apartment that was in the Kimball Ward in Layton, UT. The Kimball Ward was a lot of fun, and I was in the Elder's Quorum Presidency (Yes I used to introduce myself as "AJ Webb Secretary in the Elder's Quorum" Why you ask? Because I'm just that awesome!) Anyways President Justin Cheney bless his heart decided that I needed extra work because working full time, going to school full time, being a newlywed and being "AJ Webb Secretary in the Elder's Quorum" just wasn't enough to do... I was finding myself with so much extra time... (Justin if you're reading this I forgive you, I actually wouldn't change that situation for anything... well most days :oD ). So like I was saying President Cheney decided for my home teaching companion I would be with a one Leroy Rawls... who just so happens to be the coolest guy in the world, he is in his late 50's he moved to Utah from Virginia after he was baptized and he is special needs, but very high functioning. I was also Leroy's home teacher, it was nice because I got my home teaching done by hanging out with my home teaching companion... although we had some other families too because obviously Leroy can't home teach himself! In anycase Leroy and I became very good friends, and I haven't seen the guy in a while so I called him up yesterday and we made plans to go to Salt Lake and watch the Joseph Smith movie (he has wanted me to go with him to it for around 2 years but I never had time... funny thing, I have lots of time now). So we went down and watched the Movie and it was awesome, then he and I and Brady went to Red Robin and had dinner, and let me tell you Leroy can really put food down! That is why I chose Red Robin (bottomless fries... and did I mention they are heavenly?) So we eat at Red Robin, and Leroy gets Fish and Chips... and then a refill on fries, wanted another order of fish (talked him into a third helping of fries), an ice cream sunday and a fourth serving of fries. I think if we hadn't been waiting for him to finish around the second helping of fries he may have kept going... not sure... glad we didn't find that out. :o) (btw our waiter was super slow with the last order of fries I swear it took longer to get for us than our meal... of course by that point we had already paid our bill so there wasn't too much for him to worry about, he'd already gotten a pretty good tip... cause I tip well... its a bad habit I guess?) So after Leroy finished dinner I dropped him off at the Kaysville theater to watch a movie, then he called for a ride home, but only after he goes to a second movie :) Anways it was an awesome night, and totally worth it when I was driving to Kaysville and Leroy turned and looked at me and said "You know... you're my best friend." It was awesome! The pictures are of us on our way to Red Robin and while waiting for Leroy to finish his last batch of fries. I always look like I'm straining in self taken photographs... Very strange...

The Alley Of Fun!

That's right the family went bowling for FHE, of course only after we went to the Pizza Factory of course! As always we got the swirly breadsticks, which may be the very best breadsticks that have ever been created!
Bowling was quite competitive as you may have guessed, even Kenedy was trash talking, she came up to me and with a mouth full of M&Ms said, "I'm gonna win!"
Of course everyone was trash talking, the most used trash talk was of course Mike, who started saying "You're gonna fold like a cheap tent made in China!"
Even with the trash talk little Lincoln was having fun he was walking all over the place, we started counting his steps the most he went without falling was 48 steps. Quite impressive! I added a nice action shot of him taking a few steps.

Chuck E Cheese

Today was Saturday... and so far the weekends have not been very good to me. But today wasn't that bad, I had the puppy and he woke me up this morning with lots of kisses so I couldn't really sleep in very late. After I got up Kenny and Lincoln came to visit cause tomorrow is Heidi and Mike's anniversary and being that its Sunday they went and celebrated it today so we watched the kids for them while they shopped and went to dinner! So I set up the trampoline for Kenny and Lincoln and Mr. Akerman even got up on the tramp and played. I forgot my camera but I went to my friend's house and hung out for a little while, they were having a pool party and it was great to see some friends that I hadn't seen in a while! Then tonight we took Kenny and Lincoln to Chuck E Cheese's and played games, ate pizza and rode the rides! It was awesome! So this Saturday was a lot more eventful and wasn't quite as hard as the last few have been! Thanks everyone for an awesome day!

Birthday Party

Today is my nephew's first birthday party, and thursday is another one of my nephew's 9th birthday. So we celebrated their birthdays today together! We had sloppy joes, and cake and ice cream. And got to watch my nephew dig into his first birthday cake. Afterwards Brady and I played 21 and I won 21 - 0. It took us forever to finish the game and then our nephews wanted to play, so as tired as we were we tried our best to play again and afterwards we went home. I posted some pictures below.

Mac Daddy!!!

Yesterday I received by Fedex delivery the prize of all prizes, the treat of all treats, and yes it is technically Christmas in August for me so it ought to be the prize of all prizes right? As I pulled my special prize out of the box and turned it around in my hands the beauty of it surpasing any expectation that I had ever had, the sleek white casing and the emblem upon the top with light gleeming through it only added to the splender. I opened it for the first time taking in its new plastic smell as I laid my fingers on the keys for the first time a chill went through me, that's right I purchased my very first apple computer, I purchased a MacBook! I have converted to the mac world and after playing with my mac all day at school yesterday I don't think I'll ever regret it! For all of you contemplating the change, I would highly recommend it! HIGHLY! Thanks babe for letting me have Christmas in August... oh and Thanks Santa Clause!

Awesomeness is a Utah Football game

Over the past 3 years Utah Football has held a special place in my heart, my weekends, and my wallet. And throughout those years many a stupid comment have been made at those games and immediately mocked. And although we do not know the names of all or any of the men and/or women who have contributed to these wonderful mockeries we salute them by remembering them here.

(not all were actually at the football games, but were during football season and therefore deemed appropriate to share at this time, most likely I should add stuff here to make it look as though there is a ton of legal jargon such as some therefores, hereafters, hences, in light ofs, and etc.'s this will totally give this blog the advantage over anyone taking from it what I deem as its rightful property, and or content that is personal but not personal enough to keep to myself I suppose. Ok if you are still reading this section of the post and have not figured out that it is totally just here to waste your time than you are seriously dumber than I thought, you probably keep your hand on the mouse the entire time you read this too, even if you aren't scrolling or using the mouse it gives you some sort of comfort to keep it in your hand (thats what she said) even if you don't need it, so seriously move on to the next section of this post because I really don't want to insult you more than I have to. honestly guys i didn't want to have to type this much and my fingers are starting to get tired and my back already hurts from landscaping duty and would you just stop reading this section so that I can move on to the meat that is therein. Thank you! oh and if you copy any of this stuff I'll sue you or whatever).

A response to Justin's Post:

1. You either have to eat an extreme amount of food to be an incredible swimmer, or not eat any food to be an incredible diver. Phelps takes in 8,000 to 10,000 calories a day and then swims it off in the water, however Wang Xin hardly eats anything at all and is quoted as saying that she "doesn't like to eat" she's 4.5 feet tall and weighs probably 60 to 70 pounds! If Mr Smee was around he'd say, "there was no splash cap'n"

2. If you wanna be super buff then you should do gymnastics, but there is a draw back, you have to wear a leotard and run the risk of being called a fag... worth it? Well I'd rather be viewed as straight.

3. If you're balding and you don't want anyone to see it... than you can always wear a hat. But if you are really self conscious about it you may not want to play beach volleyball, hats fall off a lot.

4. Men's Synchronized Springboard is cool.... What I... I meant... its gay... GAY!! Ok I'm not gay or nothing but it is cool, although if one guy jumps off his left foot shouldn't the other guy have to jump off his left foot? I'm just going by the dictionaries definition of synchronized which is: to go on, move, operate, work, etc., at the same rate and exactly together. I mean come on!!! If you can spin the same way and at the same time then freaking jump of your left foot together!

5. BMX racing is an Olympic sport!?

6. People actually watch full length marathons??? Thank goodness for DVR!!!! Thoughts while fast forwarding were: "A marathon huh? wonder how much footage they cut out of these things, look at them run, well jog is probably a better word for it, they're still running, yep there they are still running, oh for heavens sake go to commercial!!! will you just end the stupid marathon is there nothing else you can show us but people running forever! Yes they made it to the track, why are they running around the track now? ok the race is over we just watched them run for 3 hours do we really need to watch the victory lap? Please make it stop!!!
